i have all my electric kilns with switches.
don't have auto/program.
i use my kilns for bisque only.
if i left an auto kiln overnight...i would
program for no more than 500F. then re/program in the morning.
and, i would get up once and check it.
putting two switches on low would not
be a problem for anyone.
the kiln would just sit there for days on end.
never get above 700F.
