Get the suspended load specifications for a particular gauge wire at a
specific temp. duration from the manufacturer or supplier. The wire should
support more hanging weight than the temp it starts to deform under a load
bearing weight.
Close your form with a knotted end of the wire embedded inside the closure.
Twist loop the free end of the wire around a kiln post and suspend the
glazed form beneath kiln shelves supporting the wire wrapped post.
When fired, the wire can be cut and pollished back into the glazed surface
with little obvious marring or intrusion, or left intact for hanging the
sphere for display. Just work within the physical realities.
