I've exhausted every avenue trying to obtain reprints from these back =
issues, so have come to the source for just about any answer anyone may =
need - ClayArt.
Am looking for the following back issues of Lapidary Journal - these =
issues contain articles on raku beads and techniques:
October 1995
September 1999
March 2000
August 2001
March 2002
I'll gladly reimburse for copies or scans of the articles in question =
and the postage for same - I have the list of articles I'm looking for =
should anyone be able to help locate them.
Thanks so much,
Lori
Northwest Illinois
I've cross-posted this on several other groups (just about every one I =
subscribe to), so if you've seen it already, act accordingly.....
Sorry I'm a little cranky - I've tried purchasing reprints of the =
articles - it's been 3 long months since I ordered and paid for them and =
I'm a little steamed about not yet finding them in my mailbox after much =
emailing and playing phone tag with customer service and their =
statements that it should only take 4-6 weeks. ??????
Grrrrrrrr........
It's a good thing I'm a lady, dammit, or I'd just have to spit. :-)

As it happens, I was at the local thrift store about a week ago and I saw
some Lapidary magazines. I didn't pay that much attention to what they wer=
e
though....but lucky for you, I don't need much of an excuse to 'go
thrifting'.
I'll go today or tomorrow and see if they're still there. Chances are they
will be...I doubt seriously that there are many people where I live who hav=
e
a clue what lapidary means. Are you interested in lapidary magazines other
than the ones you mentioned....in case what I saw is something different? =
I
would guess they probably charge something like 25 cents/mag. or less.

Lori and
Anyone needing back issues all you have to do is
do brief a online search (I used Google).... for instance I typed in
Lapidary Journal archives
and immediately found http://www.lapidaryjournal.com/archive/toc_home.cfm
and http://www.lapidaryjournal.com/archive/toc_home.cfm
It really isn't that hard to find what you need online. It took me about a
15 seconds.
Gayle Bair - in an earlier chapter of my life (1980s) I worked for Lapidary
Journal! I was in their PA office and did some graphic arts & paste up for
several months. It's a great mag... I really enjoyed and appreciated their
graphic arts style though they were using an antiquated program and were
still actually pasting(with hot wax)on boards.
