This is Lee Burningham 's brainchild! An intensive, fun, hands on,
workshop for 30 participants.
This will be a highly stimulating learning adventure! Immersion
workshop in throwing, architectural ceramics ,tilemaking, glaze
formulation and calculation, firing, and website and logo design and
development. This workshop will be for adults of all skill levels.
Participants will be working with excellent teachers, in an
excellent facility .
This workshop is hands on and Lee promises that
participants will have ALL THE CLAY THEY CAN USE AND ABUSE. Utah's
dry climate will allow us to work fast and see several processes
though from beginning to completion .Kiln firings are scheduled for
every day of the workshop.
The Box Elder studio is a fully equipped pottery studio with Three
electric kilns, a 45 cubic foot ^10 gas glaze kiln, a very large salt
kiln, an even larger
gas envelope kiln, two raku kilns, and a wood-fire kiln (Ceramic
Services Kazagama). Share in the process of discovery as you work for
two weeks with a full studio of potters, sharing and improving
understanding of glazes, grasping more awareness of clay body
influences, tile-making, and firing
kilns
Cost: $450 per week/1 week only
$800 entire 2 week workshop
