Ah, the Internet. Aint it grand!
She lived, worked and died at 18, Albion Mews. I was only a few
blocks from there. Had I known.... Oh, well, I'll certainly go by
when I'm back there in February.
So, does anyone know what became of the house and studio, is there a plaque?
>> Russel, Before answering his own question wrote.....
While visiting London last week we stayed at at B&B in Bayswater and
wandering around we noticed many "mews" with their "mews houses".
Then I read that Lucie Rie's house and studio were in Bayswater. Does
anyone know where it was or if anyone has put up one of those famous,
round, blue plaques (Mohandas (Mahatma) Ghandi slept here....) to
commemorate the location? <<
