Hi,
I have found it simple and convenient to use a "paypal money request". This is when paypal sends a money request to your customer and then notifies you when it is paid. You can include the shipping in the amount. Clayarter Linda Ferzoco and I used it when she bought a pot from me. Linda, didn't it seem easy?
I have used it for buying software from overseas as well.

Hi Jennifer,
I am interested in the same thing. My question is what
about payment for
shipping? I think that needs to be paid for at the same
time. I wonder if
you or anyone on the list has a strategy for requesting
shipping payment at
the time of Paypal payment?

But those are spam Marianne. When you get a legitimate email from EBay, they include your alias, presumably known only to you and EBay.
You can forward those spam emails from fake EBay and PayPal people to spoof@EBay.com

I just (1 min ago) received an "email" from "eBay" with the same baloney I had from PayPal before: "oh, please. we dont' have your info, could you please tell us..bla bla bla".
When that happened with PayPal I alerted them and they assured me it was not from them. Which I why I won't use it anymore, because..who knows what's next there?. My logic, but safe. Now the same with eBay.
People laugh at me when I tell them I only use green or pink in/on hand. Now you see it, now you don't. But it works for me. Just checks (or cash..oh my) by mail has always worked for me, even around the world.

Hi Judy,
From my point of view, the difference was so negligible as to be insignificant. Money comes out of my account. How is it different for the seller? Is the payment instantaneous?
As a consumer, I have loved using Paypal, but hearing about these unethical practices has opened my eyes. I now understand why some EBay sellers will not use Paypal.
BTW Judy, the pot is more luscious in person than online.
