Yes Mel, they make money on shipping. Thats a fact, and it becomes a
balancing act between spending time/money to do it yourself or pay to have
it done. BTW, you didn't mention if you DID charge somehow for time spent
doing this and what rate? Please don't use the "cost of doing business"
line, because that is always figured in elsewhere!
But, I think you missed my point. It was that I was looking for some
information on the best method of shipping to different areas under
different situations.

Well, that is not what I condoned or said Mel. I DON'T charge that, in fact
THEY didn't charge that for packing. You are stretching it here. THEY said
it was FOR THE ABILITY FOR UPS TO TRACK THE PACKAGE. The SHIPPING fee is
seperate from the packing fee, in fact, as you know, it is broken down in
specifics on the receipt.
DO NOT try to make it sound like I charged $75 for packing.

This statement goes hand-in-hand with my reasoning for using them to pack
large pots . THEY packed it, if it breaks, THEY can't tell me it wasn't
packed right!! My "skills at packing" are out of the loop. If something
small or fairly unbreakable...I pack.
