Thought I'd pass on what I found when I compared the charts for UPS and
USPS. For both I print and pay for labels online. I use USPS Priority
and don't add insurance. USPS is nice since you can get a free pick up
from your business. I think UPS tracking is better than USPS. UPS has
built in insurance up to 100.00

I compared the shipping charge charts and added on some for UPS's fuel
surcharge which is now close to 4%.
Here's who's cheapest:
USPS:
All boxes 4 lbs and under
5 and 6 lb boxes to the zones 1-4
Boxes under 9 lbs to zones 1-3

UPS
7-9 lb boxes to zones 4-9
All boxes 10 lbs and over

This is rough, but I thought some would be interested.

Very good Jennifer!! Excellent info . What I was looking for. Especially the
comparisons with box weight and zones.
BTW, It seems REALLY smooth if you have a business address or store to have
priority picked up at. But, I work from home now, no store anymore, no
zoning for that so have to be careful. No "Sales" at my home!

I guess I should clarify that I live on the East Coast so if you were
in the middle of the country you'd have to adjust this info for zones
that are near and those that are farther.
I'm in zone 1, so all this is simple.....
