Agree with Hank, my cement board is 2.5 inches from wall and same off
floor. One older thin wall monster electric sits 10 inches from cement
board no problem. (sweep the cobbys out once-in-a- while) There is also an
industrial quality reinforced aluminum "foil" that I have on the walls
behing the studio wood heater. a highly reflective barrier, double
precaution there. And yes, some days we need a good steady burn to take off
the winter chill here in sunny AZ. smiles.
