a few days late (and more than a dollar short) in reading my email.
one of the
best chatter tools that I saw was made from the mainspring from an old
grandfather
clock. the end was fairly rounded and to say the least it was
wonderfully springy.
the teacher never made good on his offer to bring in more of the spring
for us to
make our own from. And he was gone at the end of the sememster. I
keep meaning
to go to a clock repair shop. but life kind of gets in the way.
Millie in chilly, rainy Md. not sure if I will be able to get to
Portland this year.
