seeking ceramic workshop/ instruction in greece or europe

Thanks for all the great suggestions. I have followed up on all leads but
have not been able to make a solid connection. Many of the organizations
have not responded yet or have not set a summer schedule for classes. Other
suggestions involve applying for a residency which is past the due date for
this grant.
My grant [ which is being offered through the school where I teach] could
include participation in a ceramic workshop and/or working one on one with
another artist to learn a specific technique, surface treatment, firing
procedure etc. that is part of the art and culture of that area. I would pay=

the ceramic artist for their time, studio space, materials and would also
offer my expertise in a variety of areas. My first choice is working in
Greece but I'm still open to other areas.
Unfortunately, time is running out. My grant proposal is due soon. Any other=

suggestions? Thanks! Anne

This was the original listing:

I have a wonderful opportunity to take advantage of a grant to study
ceramics abroad to experience and learn more about that particular country=92=
s
art and culture. Ideally, I would like to work with another ceramic artist
but would also be interested in participating in a workshop. I have a M.F.A.=

in Ceramics, have been teaching ceramics for over 25 years, maintain a
ceramic studio and show my work regularly. I=92m pretty open but would have =
to
travel during the summer months. I=92m especially interested in Greece,
Portugal, Spain but would greatly appreciate any leads or suggestions in
other locations. Thanks! Anne

Have you tried contacting Pottery Abroad? They are out of Hartwell, GA.
Their website is www.potteryabroad.com. Lynn Burke is the contact person.

I just received their mailing. There are 2 workshops -

Pottery and the Foods of France with Silvie Granatelli, May 29-June 9

Pots of Place in Tuscany with Glenn Dair, October 1-14.

I am seriously considering the October workshop.

Hello Vasilis,
I'm sorry but I didn't open your e mail because I have been deluged with spam
and many of them lead the subject with some sort of an "invitation". I have been able to retrieve your message. And thank you for your generous offer. I am working with an agent in Sifnos to connect me to work with a local potter so we'll see what happens. Thanks again. We'll keep in touch! Anne
P.S. I really like your ceramic work. It's very interesting
