When I was making glass beads by lampworking, I often encased silver
foil inside the bead by putting a layer of glass over it. However, if
you have a glaze that would melt into a serviceable glaze at that low
temperature, then it could be possible, IMO. The best way is to try
perhaps a raku glaze that will melt at glass temperatures, below 2000
degrees, I think. But these are about two different things. When
enameling is done on copper, a flux is added. Perhaps you should
explore the copper enameling glazes and apply some flux to the silver
before adding the cover glaze. I just have a smattering of intelligent
information from working at the Campbell Folk School about these crafts
so offer the ideas for you to explore. The exploration should be
exciting, especially if you achieve what your want to accomplish. Good
