Iwould like to know if any one has purchased shelves from a company in
Minnesota called alpha materials?
Their nitride bond shelves seem to be less expensive than many others
they say the have porosity of about 12 and they are 5 sixteenths of an
inch thick any reviews onthis company and their shelves would be
appreciated, also if any one knows of a good source of 18 x18 nitride
bond shelves please let me know . jontracey1@rochester.rr.com
Thanks

I've only bought the silicon nitride bonded shelves from Smith-Sharpe
Bricks, www.kilnshelf.com. I order from them because they have the shelves I
need in stock and are shipped to me very quickly.

These shelves are also 5/16 thick, but the porosity is way much lower than
12%, that's like a normal silicon carbide shelf.

The shelves you ask about are imported from China perhaps they have the same
source as Geil's?
