I haven't been following Clayart for a while but popped in today and saw the
message about green wax by the gallon. I have gotten a really good wax
resist from Aftosa. Several people I know swear by it. Check them out on the
web.

I now have waited long enough. Did I miss this , or DID someone =
mention what I learned from Beth Molaro (who probably learned it at =
Penn State)at the Gibbes Museum Studio some 12 years ago that one gets =
the regular cream colored liquid wax, and adds green food coloring. =20

I have no idea why green. And also: do get your food coloring at a =
bakery supply house, or at one of the those "craft" stores (like =
A.C.Moore) that sell bakery supplies. These food colorings come in =
little pots much like pill bottles, and are far more concentrated than =
what is in the drop shaped bottles at the grocery. These concentrated =
food colors ALSO are wonderful additions to slips (a pale yellow slip is =
so easily confused with a white....) or look-alike-in-the-bucket =
glazes.
