Tae kim, it can be done with a fresh thrown hump or a bisqued form. each
has it's merits. The fresh thrown type can be quickly modifyed to
accomodate various forms. Opening this hump form will also serve as a chuck
to trim closed forms and small/fragile necked forms. And when finished
trimming, there is a throwable piece of clay left to use. Just "wheel
wedge" it a bit to remix inner/outer consistancy and go. I'm sure you will
figure out the rest as you go.
