If you use the screws you will also need large flat washers to hold the
fiber. A much easier and cheaper way would be to bisque fire some 3 -
4" clay buttons and wire them to the can with nickel chromium wire.
Most ceramic stores carry the wire. I used some sculpture clay for the
buttons to withstand the thermal shock, I've never had any problems
with this method and I'm sure there are other alternatives. Good luck,
