Marj Peeler wrote a good article about E-Paste in Pottery Making
Illustrated. The Peelers made lots of beads and did wonderful inlays in
clay and wood with it. She suggests you work with it on a marble
surface. Letting it dry on screen or wax paper can help also. Let me
know if you would like to see the formulas that she uses. They are in
that article that was published. I also have some, but prefer hers since
they seem to be more consistent.

Good luck

I looked it up on the PMI site and the article was in:
Sept/Oct 2004, Pages 33 - 35
I don't subscribe to PMI so can't comment further.

I made about 10 different e. paste recipes in Sept/Oct. ago and decorated
xmas ornaments with the different pastes. 9 out of 10 developed white
crystal fur after a month or so. Luckily they did this before I had a
chance to sell any. I've hung the ornaments up all over the garden.
Disheartened, I have put aside experimenting for now.
Best regards,
