Gayle,
I don't want to pop your German bubble, but it would be more correctly
back into der Töpferwerkstatt. (der because it's the dative case and
just Töpferwerkstatt because that already implies the work place
[Werkstatt] where pots [Töpfer] are made.

Maybe, but whispering makes those around HAVE to listen more closlely.
A thing I figuered out with having 3 kids so close together.
Does one need to be heard, or understood?

I think, as a German, I have to intervene a little.
It's true, German is very expressive and yelling in German is the
easiest and cruellest way of getting ones way :-) Yea, having truly
upsetting emotions, English is just too soft, but of course whispering
loving words into the ear of a beloved one, English is the way to go, if
one doesn't master French.
I don't know the whole threat of this topic, but as I understand you
are looking
for a name for your studio. So I don't know why Noel makes your name
into a dative,
but just using it as a name, the usual article is used. "die
T=F6pferwerkstatt" oder=20
"die T=F6pferei".
So pot is "der Topf" and many pots are "die T=F6pfe", and as Noel wrote
"die Werkstatt"
is easily translated to work place. So the meaning of "T=F6pferwerkstatt =
"
is, the place
where pots are made :-)=20
I know it is ridiculous how long our words can get. Hey if you are
specialized in something e.g. teapots you could make your name even
longer e.g. "die Teekannent=F6pferwerkstatt"! "Teekanne" for teapot.
Wouldn't that be fun?? Or how about your burning method e.g. " Die
Salzbrandt=F6pferwerkstatt " in this one you have actually 4 words in =
one!
Salz - salt; Brand - burn; T=F6pfer - potter; werkstatt - studio. Or if
your family is working in the studio it could be "Die
Familient=F6pferwerkstatt ", but I think we would properly say "Die
Familient=F6pferei".
Let us know what your final name is going to be
