Hi Kelly, Vince, all...
Lol...
"Ants" you know...are essentially apterygial Wasps...
Although their happy debutants of course are still emergant as ancient or
atavistic Winged-forms, that they may fly off and make new Colonies...rather
than be obliged to walk in order to do so...
Too, there is a tiny parasite ( forgot it's name, sorry...tired brain as
usual, ) which takes advantage of various kinds of Ants in a curious way...
Where, it somehow, neurologically, psychologically, makes the Ant wish to
perch protractedly atop the uppermost tips of blades of Grass, that the Ant
(and the parenthetical parasite infesting and effecting it's neurology and
judgement ) may then be incidentally eaten by grazing Ungulates...where, it
is the Ungulate Host that is the true yearned for 'home'...of the little
parasite...and the Ant is ( merely? ) a means of getting there...
Isn't this charming?
(...Shudder...)
But anyway...
Gives one pause for thought...
Or does me anyway...
...if one feels odd urges to perch protractedly, atop the uppermost 'tips'
of nodding Grasses where probable Ungulates shall arrive to graze, I say,
resist...!
But who's to say about all the other 'urges' one may have?
...are they, well, ever 'suspicious' in some way?
Anyway...
Vince, hope to see you 'there'...!
Love,
Phil
ie: Philo-Hippos
And, of course, also, even if not so named,
Philo-Formicidae...Philo-Vespidae &c., Philo-Coelosauridae et al, & many
more...if I got the terms right to set them this way...and maybe I did, and
maybe I didn't...Lol...but I love them all, regardless...and very much,
too...
Little Ant-Buddies!
...golly, haven't seem hide nor hair of them in some time now here...
I miss those ( "Huh...Looks like Honey or somethin' pouring down the
Refridgerator or Night Stand and on the Bed there...!" ) swarms and euphoric
Debutant celebrations...streaming out of the cracks on the old floor here,
where, in the Earth, for untold centuries or what, at this location, likely
long long before these Buildings were built on top of them, they have
gently, quietly, dreamily, lived...
