some of you did not see my answer the other day.
i have solved the missing ingredient.
it is baby urine. squeezed from a cotton diaper.
`huggies` urine will ruin the recipe.
plastic contamination.
and, i don't want any old wood fired teabowl
from nils...i have a dozen already..and am
trying sell them on ebay. they are really ruff and
scaly. hard to touch them...ick.
got 4 bucks for one of his the other day. a famous collector bought it.
so, i got top dollar. `buy low, sell high`.

Mel, I hate to see you burdened with those unwanted
rough tea bowls of Nils.....Just put them in a sack, I'll
pick them up at Hay Creek, take care of them for you,
save all that trouble/ebay/time.
Glad to do you a favor.
regards

Well, my answer is "the blood of a virgin."
And if that *isn't* the correct answer then I
contend that it SHOULD BE because it makes
the whole business of pottery much more
mysterious and exotic, and this can only
serve to raise the price of the final product
("Lower the price madam? LOWER THE PRICE?
Do you know how much good virgin's blood
costs these days?") and all potters will live
happily ever after.

Mel,
I love reading what you have to say and have great respect for your opinion
(and the fun stuff too). I'm working toward being a serious potter and am
trying to improving my abilities with lots of studio time. I've been
working at this for just over two years. I've taken classes at a local art
center and also at the local community college. My instructor must think
I'm worth the effort because this semester I'm not taking any classes from
him but he's extended to me full, unlimited use of the studio and
supplies. What a privilege I consider that to be!
Now that I've given you a little rundown on "me", I'd like to ask you a
favor. I have pictures of some of my pots on a website. If you have time
and wouldn't mind, would you or anyone on Clayart for that matter take a
look and give me some feedback? I have some more recent pieces that I need
to add to the site. The address is: bjlordart.com. Thank you for any
feedback anyone is willing to give. Can't wait for NCECA!!
