'Bowls'...

Phil -

Context? What will they be used for? Do you want them green (bone dry,
leather hard?), bisqued - what?

Hi all,

I am seeking a Portland area Potter to provide me with some simple 'thick'
Bowl-forms to be delivered to my Booth in the "N.C.E.C.A." Commercial
Exhibition Hall.

This is a paying gig.

If interested, please e-mail me off list of course...

Thank you...!

Hi Phil,

I'm not in Portland but I'm 3-ish hrs away in Washington. If you can't find anyone in Portland who can help you out with your bowls I'll do what ever I can to give you a hand. What do you need? Leather hard greenware? Do you want a foot ring? what size? B.T.W, I COULD be persuaded to work for tools. I also have a York kick wheel that would be no trouble to bring along as well .
Holla Back if you feel the need
Logan !

Phil,
What do you think about me using Soldate 60 with sand to make these bowls? It's a stoneware body that will be grey at leather hard, and it's fairly groggy, which is what is really hard on trimming tools and destroys the cheap ones fast. I could also make some of them from a smooth porcelain, as a contrast. It would be easy then to have a soft foot and fairly hard rim. I'd appreciate your thoughts. Thanks!
Dave
