B....you've fallen off the wagon!

John, I have tried to stay out of this spat but am no longer able to
do so. You are sounding like a nit. If someone chooses to share what
they have created, composed, designed, or otherwise "given birth to" it
is good on them. If they choose not to it is their choice. If they want
to control the desemination of their information for either magnanimous
(in this case the greater good of the potting communities understanding
of what they are doing with functional glazes) or to further enhance
their professional, personal, or economic standings then that is their
right as well.
To sit there, tap, tap, tapping away in the type of attack which you
have levied against one of the most helpful and knowlegable members of
the list strikes me as bizarre. Perhaps the ugly visage of professional
jealousy is involved. Really can't say. Hence the name of the post. Are
you sober?
The book, Mastering Cone 6 Glazes, which I personally think ought to be
used as a text for the understanding of glazes, doesn't cost much when
compared to other books of it's type with limited publication. Check out
the cost of paper back college texts now a days if you really want some
sticker shock. MC6G can be had for FREE at your local library, or may be
procured in a used condition. THis entire argument has gotten NASTY. You
basically called Jon a liar in your post and equated the value of his
person as such.
If you feel so strongly about your position to engage in this type of
invective why don't you go ahead and spend the years that it takes to
research and write, and then the money to publish, a ground breaking
book like Ron and Jon did and then share it with the rest of us for
free........Until that time you are basically pissing in the wind. It is
really easy to sit there and say how much others ought or ought not be
sharing and/or giving when one doesn't really have that much to give, or
be taken, to begin with.
Rant Over
Ain't tryin to help ya here
