Have tried to find the Galaxy website with no luck. What is the address for them?

Thanks,

Hi Richard,

Interestingly enough I think that the Miele's Galaxy is not the same as the
Galaxie I own.
I looked at the website, and the names and numbers of models are quite
different.

I also have a Miele vacuum cleaner for my house, and it is the best. I love
it, but not for clay dust.

Thanks, Rikki

Galaxy is the name of the product line, not the manufacturer. They are made
by Miele.

Thank you very much Cat. I have repeated the message a few times because it
is such a great vacuum cleaner,
and the price is so much better than the competition.
I bought it because I was diagnosed with a clogged airways form of Asthma,
and realized that I had to start keeping the studio cleaner.
I wash the floor after vacuuming, as well.

I am much better now, and really doubt that I have a health problem at all.
We have to take the best care we can of ourselves if we want to stay healthy
enough to keep working at what we all love.

Best to all, Rikki

Well, Google is more friendly to those who provide good search arguments.

Google results are as accurate as the information they are given,
both by the person doing the searching, and by the people making web
pages.

In this case, the name of the central vacuum is spelled Galaxie, and
it's more the name of the chief product of CVC, Inc., and their web
address is

You may also, for your own amusement, try searching Google for
"failure" and see what the first result is. Even more dramatic is
the result of entering "failure" and pressing the "I'm feeling
lucky." button.

kind.

Yeah, I found this too using Google but the Miele site doesn't have
the wall mount central vacuum Rikki says she has. I guess it's going
to take a call to the number she provided to find out any more.

Ahah!! Thanks Maurice! I wonder how much business Galaxie loses
because of this.

Hi Kathy,

Yes. Thanks for looking. That is it. It looks like the monster hanging on
my studio wall.

Good luck to those contemplating purchase. I love mine, and it has been no
trouble.

Best, Rikki

trouble.

Best, Rikki>

Almost 2 yrs ago Clay Art had this same thread going and because of
Rikki's recommendation I went to the site and got a Galaxie rep. to come to
the studio and talk to me.

Twas installed same day and I am loving the heck out of it.. ps get the
hose with the on/off button on the handle. Its a bit more expensive but
more than worth the expense..

I got mine free after the outlet for the kiln shed sort of got warped out
from the heat of the kiln . There was no place else to put it either and the
smartest answer was to use the outlet that is inside the studio and the
window above it to pass the hose out.

The only problem with that arrangement was the fact that I would have to go
inside the studio to shut off or on. My Rep exchanged for no extra charges
the nandles ... yeahhhh

I also have to wrap a water heater blanket around my canister when firing
to keep it from over heating the motor just in case... Small studio /
small shed.... it works and works WONDERFUL...

Cost for me was $700 and I wish I had bought one of these 15 yrs ago even
if I had to go into hawk to have one. What a huge difference it has made
in my work cycle the time it saves and the LUNGS it saves..
I will say from hind sight that it is one of the most important tools in
the studio. Bless Rikki for telling us about it as the other equal system
is double the price.

Keep it clean and keep it safe for your lungs sake; it's saving whatever I
have left plus a huge difference in breathing now... no blowing black crud
out my nose anymore.

Cat J, enjoying the nceca banter even though I won't attend. Have
tons o fun and do a few wooooo hooooo spin on head with red boa's for us
stay at studio working stiffs ;o)
