M le docteur Bastarache notified us earlier this week that: "
Denis Caraty, aka Smart.Conseil, has just been
awarded the Title of Knightof the Arts and Literature by the French
Governmentfor his outstanding work and research at the famous Gien Factory
in France." I am amazed no one yet has said Mazel Tov,
Felicitations,Parabems, etc. The Legion is a great honor on the one hand,
and on the other, we as potters not only should be happy that a potter "made
it", but we shoud rejoice that Smart.Conseil, who has been and is sucha huge
help to us got this meaningful reward. I am not sure where on an overall the
rosette can be worn...but M. Caraty, all congratulations, good wishes and
the like. May you enjoy your well-deseved reward for many happy, healthy.
