tea time: workshop & exhibition in kalamazoo, mi

The Kalamazoo Institute of Arts in Kalamazoo, MI is pleased to
present "Tea Time: The Art of the Teapot," a national invitational
exhibition of 150 contemporary teapots from May 13 to July 16, 2006. From
the serene and elegant to the playful and eccentric, the teapot is
highlighted as both a functional object and an artistically inventive
form. Some of the exhibitors include Pete Pinnell, Suze Lindsey, Chuck
Hindes, Brad Schweiger, Eva Kwong, Vince Pitelka, Mel Jacobson, Chris
Gustin, Josh DeWeese, Linda Christianson, Malcolm Davis, many others.

To celebrate the opening of this show, a weekend workshop/symposium will
be held May 12-14, 2006. Richard Bresnahan, Fong Choo, Jeri Hollister and
Bennett Bean will be on hand to discuss and demonstate their philosophy
and unique production techniques. Exhibition preview and slide show by
each presenter on Friday evening, May 12. Demonstrations Saturday and
Sunday, May 13 & 14.
