In my previous post I mentioned a hot wire for cutting styrofoam,
This was a set up in my old
art school industrial design shop in the 60s. To cut styrofoam today,
without toxic fumes,
I use a Japanese flush saw. It is very flat and passes throught the
styrofoam of various thicknesses, unlike a hacksaw.
My point earlier that I was emphasizing was coating the styrofoam
with plaster to provide a smooth skin.
