Antoinette,
I have used exterior Masonite for years. I oiled it with motor oil. We
screwed it down on the plywood base but I think it could also be glued
before adding screws on the perimeter. These tables have lasted me for
years and years. They wash up easily and are semi absorptive so that one
can knead the clay on it as well.
