Tony (et al.) I think it's timing. David's up and running and the cat came
down*.
I wanted to wait until David was back up and running before posting this, so
now I will.
GET DAVID'S DVD's on extruding...3 volumes. Whether you're an
extruder/handbuilder or a thrower (as I am) you will find a whole bunch to
learn in them. More than a bunch of extruder techniques, these videos are
about creativity...how to use the extruder as a tool not only for building
specific pieces, but how to use it as a creative tool to form parts and
pieces to add on to your thrown pots.
If you don't come away from these videos charged up, you're not paying
attention. I had the good fortune of attending a Tony C workshop in
Oklahoma City, Thank you again Peter and Pat, and then traveling from OK
City to Maydelle (accent on the last syllable please) with Tony and spending
a couple of days plus with David and Karen. For me it was a changing
experience. More than one of Tony's speed bumps....a whole new
road...gravel right now, but it will be paved. My only error was in not
sticking around for the San Antonio workshop, but we had a show coming up
and it won.
Oh yes, not only do you get all the info and creative juice from these
DVD's, you get David's music and a whole bunch of fun. You'll get to see
the real Big Bertha's while you take a lunch break with David. It's a hoot.
Real America.
Am I shilling for David? You bet. Not for money, but as a way of thanking
him for going to the considerable effort to put this quality learning
together. I'm going to be looking at them time and again. >
