dear Liz;
I have been using it for some tears now, thanks to Doug Hively, who
developed/found it. A friend of his tried it and said, "This is the wax
that works!" That is how it got its name. Good stuff.

Hello Claybuds,
Has anybody used the wax sample that Axner was distributing at NCECA
called "Wax That Works", on bottoms, or as a resist? It is from
Northwest Pottery Supply.
Thanks in advance,

Hi Everyone,
At NCECA, Dawn Clark of Northwest Pottery Supply was handing out
small samples of this product. I tried it yesterday and I really like
it. It is significantly thinner than other wax emulsions I have used
and wets the bisque much more easily. If I were doing resist work (I
was just waxing bottoms via brushing on my wheel yesterday) I think I
could control the resist design much better. I certainly found it
easy to get complete coverage on the area I wanted to wax. Also the
brush cleaned out with just a rinse in hot water and appears to be as
good as new. I immediately called and ordered a quart (12.80 +
shipping).
If you want to give this a try, Dawn can be reached at 866-425-2948.
I suspect she is looking for distributors too so if any of the
pottery supply folks that monitor the list are interested, give Dawn
a call.
Usual disclaimers--I just like this product and would be interested
to know if others found it to be as good as I have.
Regards,
John
