The New Vision Ceramic Collective is looking for Ceramic Artists, Potters or=
Sculptors who wish to
share a beautiful studio space in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. This 2500 Square fo=
ot space has 14-foot
ceilings, awesome light, an office/kitchen with use of high speed internet a=
nd all appliances, a
separate gallery/showroom for private and group shows, separate kiln room an=
d work and shelf
space for 3-4 artists/potters. The studio is in a 24- hour access building d=
irectly across from the
freight elevator. Parking is available in front of the building and the G t=
rain, 7 train, B61 and B43
buses are very convenient.
The studio is equipped with a potter=92s wheel, slab roller, extruder, four =
electric kilns of various
sizes, glaze materials, ample shelf space and worktables. You may also brin=
g your own
equipment into the space. The concept is to house artists/potters who are i=
nterested in
combining their efforts and resources to produce and promote their work. Lo=
oking for people
who want to share in the fun of working in clay while pursuing their profess=
ional goals. Group
events, workshops and classes are welcomed. If you are not a professional b=
ut interested in space
to work, please contact me as well, as part time costs will differ.
The rent will be approximately $500 per person per month, depending on the n=
umber of
interested parties. Actual workspace is 1350 sq. ft. (approx. 300-400 sq. fo=
ot per person), 465
sq. ft. is office/kitchen (which can also be used as work space and photo sh=
oots) and 275 sq. ft is
finished showroom. Gas heat and firing costs are extra. The space is in th=
e planning and
renovation stages, so your input would be useful in order to ideally customi=
ze your needs. If you
