I may be way behind on my emails, so forgive me if someone has already suggested this...I
cut foam rubber and styrofoam using an electric carving knife (used just for this purpose
- I wouldn't use the one meant for your thanksgiving turkey). It works sort of like a
band saw. It cuts fairly cleanly. There may be a few little crumbs, as you might get when
cutting with a snap knife. Gives good control on curves, and so forth.

I used an electric knife to cut styrofoam and foam rubber years ago, but
mainly for larger items than clay stamps. The double blades did a lovely job.
