input on new website (and using premixed glazes)

My thanks to Graham and a couple of others who emailed me off list about my
new website. Someday I hope to have a more sophisticated web page and the
www. zephyrpottery. com site up and running. The verizon site is part of
their "personal web space" services. We got 10 MB of web space free (and
can pay to upgrade), along with tutorials, templates, and add-ons. I could
use pay pal right on the site if I want but for now it's a good site to use
to put my work out there and have people refer to if I want them to see what
I'm doing. I'm planning to add a page in the future for examples of Clayart
topics when needed (such as all my work is currently glazed with Laguna
Moroccan Sand glazes - premixed but experimented with over a number of
years). Again- thanks for the input!

From Graham Mercer.......

To go that next step towards a professional look you may want to consider
registering your own domain name. Something like www.zephyrpottery.com has a
much better look than the current http://mysite.verizon.net/zephyrpottery/
and is quite cheap to register and host if you are prepared to do the site
design and management yourself.

Congratulations on the new site and good luck with future developments.

Cheers,

If you're happy with free or convenient web hosting but would like a
domain name, check out URL Forwarding.

A number of domain registrars have redirect options. dotster.com will
forward a domain name to wherever you choose, "masked" * or
"unmasked" for $5/year, or free with banner ads. (Free with the cost
of URL registration for the year, 14.95 at dotster)

http://www.dotster.com/domains/domaintools_urlfwd.php

* "The true URL of the web site does not appear in the address bar of
a users browser and the domain name being forwarded appears in its
place. "
