Out of the Fire Studio Gallery Grand Opening May 6

Out of the Fire Studio has recently opened a Gallery. The pottery studio
has been in Edmonton for almost five years working mainly as wholesale
studio and retailing over the internet. The Gallery features pottery made
by Cindy Clarke. Cindy has been potting and teaching for over 30 years
and offers a wide selection of functional, decorative and one of a kind,
stoneware pottery made on site. As well as pottery by Cindy there is a
large selection of masks and sculptures by local artist Helene Griffith.
Helene will be offering mask making classes in the studio.

May 6 is the Grand Opening of Out of the Fire Studio and Interior
Accents. We will have a wide selection of handcrafted pottery featuring
large decorative vases, work by Helene Griffith as well as a number of
imported handcrafted jewelry, textiles and glass. There will be pottery
demonstrations, and an opportunity to try the potter=92s wheel yourself. We=

will be giving away door prizes, and there will be a 50/50 raffle on a
beautiful big bowl, half to Out of the Fire Studio and half to WIN House.
Out of the Fire Studio works closely with WIN House and ten percent of the
sales May 6 go directly to WIN House.

Some of the jewelry is hand made in Sri Lanka. Work for Widows is a
project by Impakt Aid. http://www.impaktaid.com The ladies that make the
jewelry are living in temporary housing camps after losing everything in
the Tsunami in 2004. Work for Widows is run by mostly volunteers and only
6 percent of money raised goes to administration.

Please come out and visit a budding gallery, see a working studio and
pottery demonstrations, support WIN House and Work for Widows. The coffee
pot will be on and hotdogs on the barbeque.

Thank you
Cindy and Jim
