call for entries: bud vases for mel!
the exhibition will be held
at the clayart room in 2007 in luisville kentucky,
during nceca.
only the awards will be juried, every clayarter who
would like to make a special bud vase for our moderator,
will be in the show.
no slides please, bring the actual work, if you cannot
make it to nceca, ship it. shipping address will be
announced later.
it has to be at least 75% clay, must be functional to
be able to hold water and a rose.
loose or tight,
your choice of aestethic. renessance or italian, whatever...
(remember, he loves motherinlaw blue.)
nothing will be for sale, because
we will pack the whole show at the end of nceca
and ship it to minnetonka, to mel's home.
(and, you can put into your resumee that your work is
in private collections...)

Great idea, Marta!
Let's all participate, and Mel will be quite a collection of bud vases (I
assume with long long necks!)

I'm going to throw some pit firing ones on Sunday. Going to make them
tall and slender. So they hold water, I'm going to pour bright
yellow tool dip on the inside and swish it around. He's going to love
it.
