Hello Llewellyn,
I used this glaze for several years. It's a very lustrous copper turquoise, but will flash red. I got some spectacular results when using it in combination with other copper red glazes. I doubt that is stable, and would test for leaching before using it anything which serves food.
Karen Starshine Cone 10
Custer Feldspar 51.00
Soda Ash 4.00
Gerstely Borate 6.00
Whiting 13.00
Strontium Carbonate 4.00
Lithium Carbonate 1.00
Silica 21.00
Add:
Titanium Dioxide 2.00
Copper Carbonate 5.00
Bentonite 3.00
There is also a Cone 6 Variation of this glaze I'd be happy to share if anyone wants it.

I would like the cone 6 variation of this glaze, if you would be so kind
as post it.

Hey, Kevin in San Antonio...
Is the cone 6 a reduction glaze?
Does it turn out the same way the cone 10 does?
Lustrous copper turquoise sounds beautiful...

Hi Kevin,
It has enough alumina and silica to stand a chance of being stable at cone
6 (if it were a cone 6 glaze) but that is a lot of copper. John found
Titanium to be a big help in making glazes stable and there is not much
here - so i would concur - probably not stable enough to use as a liner.
Expansion is high - I expect it is crazing.
Thanks for posting it.
