First: As I lived in Rio 4 years 50 years ago, I ought to be able to do
this in Portuguese! Ha! However!

Now. To be serious AND International.

The first thing "we" need is more information about what materials you can
get.

I am willing to go with "generic" formulae, as a start for calculation.
And I do not know what you know about glaze materials, info. When I say
"generic" it means theoretical, or what we consider when we speak of a
material in the books.

It is a bit like a food chart saying "feijoada" has so many grams of
carbohydrates, of protein, of fat. They MUST to get a chart together to
give an idea. But you know as well as I that different years the beans will
be slightly different, the other ingredients will vary, not everyone uses the
same amount of each material. So what they put in their chart is a
"theoretical feijoada".

Well, nature is like that too. "We" agree on a theoretical formula for
materials, and the go on from there, for analyses of specific examples of
that material.

Please. If you can, send us the specific analyses of the feldspars etc you
have,. If not send us a plain list.

Then. Tell me please, can you do glaze tests? What you sent us as a recipe
you are trying is a glaze recipe that falls into a common c.6 transparent
family. There probably are over a hundred glazes in that family that work
fine as transparents at c. 6.

I am trying to come up with some recipes based on the frits you have. I
cannot test them as I do not have 096 and 093. Please tell us can you test.

I hope others (Hi there Steve!) will kick in their knowledge...because from
what I see Brazil is fantastic clay wise right now, and wow! would it not be
great to give some glaze abracos?

And please feel free to write me off list.
