Tony, maybe something along the lines of the Crafty Duo....
or Clay Times Two.... not to be confused with the pub.....
could be Clay X Two...... or Sly Ol' Fox Plus......
or Red and Dead Head.... or in the tenor of the times from
Mad About You...... Crafty Red and Not So Much......=20
not that I think these are ok or even close to accurate, but maybe =
they'll
get you rolling
in a different direction which will bring you back to something
with more dignity.... maybe something paying homage to your
clay ancestry.... or to Medicine Hat...... (I liked Medicine Hat...
got a great teapot there with a dragon on it and I don't like
dragons but now I have two that I do enjoy very much.....) or
to Sheila's Scottish not-so-distant roots. The BagPiper and The
Tooter....... now that'll give you some dignity! The Maple Leaf, and
borrow Sam's motifs. Or to give Sheila a turn...... The Macho
Potter and the Not so Mucho......
Drivel, I know, but your creative mind is easily triggered.

Joyce: Good to see you feeling your oats. I don't want to change my studio
name- I like Sour Cherry. It is name of my trade that is getting somewhat
abused in these parts. Heck , as soon as someone buys their first wheel they
are potters.
Like when author Margaret Atwood was talking to a surgeon one night at a
cocktail party and he said "When I retire I going to take up writing!" She
replied "When I retire I'm going to take up surgery!"
If I ever lived my fantasy out with a new studio downtown in the thick of
the arts scene, I'd like a wee store front and apt upstairs. I'm going to
call it "Cranks". People will think it is named after Sheila and I but it is
actually what the English call saggars. There was a restaurant in London
right next door to The Craftsmans Potters called "Cranks" and they used all
handmade dishes from Britains finest potters.
I should remember my fathers line- Call me anything you want, just don't
call me late for dinner.
Best,
Tony
P,S I get this sneaking suspicion you're going to be looking pretty hard at
those Kentucky hills. Beautiful part of the world.
