You might try using tent stakes pounded into the ground outside your canopy
and secure the top portion of the canopy to the tent stakes.

Subject: securing display shelving
Hello all,
I'm preparing for my first outdoor show in the autumn, and I've collected a
sturdy Trimline canopy
and display shelving. I'm concerned about anchoring the display, set up on
grass, so that it won't
tip over and hurt someone or ruin my ware. Searching the archives, I found
a note about lashing
the top of the shelving units to the canopy frame with cable ties, but I
wonder if the canopy frame
is heavy-duty enough to do so. Does anyone have experience with this
anchoring method or have
other suggestions?
Many thanks,
Liz

Just make sure to bring along some brightly colored streamers to wrap
around the ropes leading to the tent stakes... They will help keep
people from tripping over the ropes!

It is best to secure with lines and stakes into the ground, I know from
experience that if you secure the shelving to the canopy frame , if it's
a windy day everything moves. Shelving, tent. Lost a lot of sales due
to customers were afraid something would break or fall.
Hope that helps
