When I built the track for our car kiln in Billings, it was intended
to be removed when the car was in the kiln.
I drilled metal bolts into the floor and cut off the top. The track
lined up with holes in the cross bar of the track.
I did stub my toe occasionally on these bolts but didn't trip over
the track.
