This is what I was trying to describe. A fast growing evergreen barrier may
be wiser if you are patient to weather the eyesore a bit longer than you
have already Tony and Sheila. Orrrr-there are places to buy bamboo in the
Carolinas (commercially controlled growing) for building fences etc. I will
give the name of my bamboo book on making furniture, fences etc. as soon as
I can lay hands on it. Couldn't find it in my library tonight. Best luck
