Hi Folks,
Some last minute cancellations due to family/health emergencies have
opened up places in our summer week-long workshop at Laloba Ranch in
Steamboat Springs Colorado.
This is a special workshop experience in that it is a week-long intimate
experience where we start with making the pots and then progress through
a series comprehensive firing experiences.
You would be firing the pots you make in all of the following
techniques: Saggar Firing in a raku kiln, Ferric Chloride fuming on
terra sig, 2 kinds of Naked Raku (Slip Resist and Slip and Glaze),
Charlie's Layered Raku, Horsehair with and without ferric chloride.
Plus Charlie's infamous throwing demos, making of terra sig, brush
making and just plenty of horsing around.
Lodging is on the premises, breakfast is "get your own" in the guest
house, and gormet lunches and dinners are served everyday. The group
eats together on an outdoor deck at the main house and spends the
evenings socializing in the hot tub. Or for those that can't get enough
of the clay the studio is open all hours.
If you or someone you know would be interested you will need to contact
Judy or Biz at Laloba ranch since we haven't a clue about their fees or
registration process.
