Pat,
I'm going to be experimenting with them in conjunction with a "fibers" class
at my college. Trying to make some of the paper with different ingredients
to get different effects.
I'll make sure I post my results to the list.
Interesting little book, isn't it?

I am on the second read now, its still brill.

In it he explains about his paper kilns.
I intend to shamelessly deploy my children this summer hols into making =
a few.
Has anyone else tried them?
Pat.

I have a series of photos of a big "tipi"kiln that was made with a
2x4 structure and covered with newspaper and slip.
I sent it to Pat directly. Anyone interested, I can send it but
clayart doesn't accept attachments.
