Hi all,

I looked up wollastonite on the digitalfire site and he mentioned
this glaze, calling it:

" a reliable cone 6 calcium matte glaze"

Wollastonite 34.0
Ferro Frit 3134 21.0
Kaolin 45.0

So if anybody is looking for one of those this might fit the bill.

Get the "Mastering Cone 6 Glazes" book by Ron and John and try out the
two Calcium Semi-Matte Bases. Slow cooling is essential. Thickness is a
wonderful variable with these reliable bases.

About this glaze - rather high in alumina for a cone 6 glaze so I'm not
sure it is well melted.

It is too short of silica to be called a stable glaze.

Very high in CaO which means it is probably a calcium matte - and a
silica/alumina below 5 so it's an alumina matte as well.

I'm certainly convinced it is a matte glaze unless it is cooled super fast.
