Senior Studio Technician & Building Manager, Full time
position.
The Clay Studio seeks applicants for the position of
Senior Studio Technician and Building Manager. This
position oversees the school ceramics studio and is
responsible for maintenance & operation of all
equipment in the school, maintenance of equipment in
the artists programs and the Claymobile support
center, ordering clay, chemicals and supplies for the
school, supervising school assistants and overseeing
the weekend monitor. Building management includes
oversight of the physical plant. If qualified,
teaching one class per term may also be available.
Applicants should have a BFA or MFA preferred, or
equivalent professional experience. Applicants should
be comfortable dealing with large numbers of students
as well as interacting with faculty members. The
successful candidate will need to be able to handle
large volumes of heavy materials in clay and chemical
deliveries. Applicants also need to have a working
knowledge of all types of clays, materials and firings
to provide technical assistance to Visiting Artists
from around the world.

Starting salary range is $23,000 to $25000, depending
on experience. A studio space and benefits package is
also included. Applications are being accepted

18.
