I've had success wadding my kiln posts instead using kiln washing on them to
prevent sticking. Cutting from an extruded coil of clay, rolling into marble
to jawbreaker size balls pressing them in to a dry mixture of alumina,
silica, silica sand or coarse grog. Place them in a plastic bag and seal to
prevent from drying hard. Shake the excess off, add one to each kiln post.
The wads will help level the shelves, prevent rocking or moving during
loading.
When unloading slightly rock the shelf to release.
