As someone who is like the guy in your showroom, perhaps you could hear the
words in a slightly different tone. Here is my take on "I would like to be a
potter once I retire".
I am sometimes in awe of what artist can produce with their talent and
persistence. As someone who has made a living in another field (mine as
management consultant), I would love to spend time exploring what you do and how you
do it. Not thinking that in any way that I could achieve in a couple of
years what you have spent ten to twenty to learn, but rather to have the joy in
sharing of some of your experiences. Yes, I would love to be a potter when I
retire.
