We have a workshop planned for the end of August that will be a great
benefit to potters who spend a lot of time throwing (or potters
wanting to spend a lot of time throwing). It's called Potter's
Ergonomics. Not only will you see Joyce demonstrate on the wheel, but
also learn how to take care of you body while working in the studio.
Think of it as an early Christmas present to yourself.

Potter's Ergonomics:
Joyce Michaud will present a 2-day workshop on Potter's Ergonomics,
August 26 and 27 at the Arvada Ceramic Arts Guild in Arvada, Colorado.
Joyce will present a unique workshop for potters focusing on finding
the balance between the physical demands of pottery and maintaining
overall health. During the 2 days she will cover ergonomic techniques
including throwing exercises to increase efficiency and master level
throwing skills. Each participant is encouraged to examine the
physical forces experienced in clay work through combined lecture and
hands-on instruction.
Also included for each participant: 15 minute massage by licensed
CMT, 15 minute reflexology treatment, access to studio equipment and
bisque firing of 1-2 pieces.
Fee: $150.00.

Anybody within a reasonable distance of this workshop should make the =
time to GO. Joyce is a great teacher and fun. :)
