I called Standard Clay yesterday to order some real bone ash. The person
who took my order told me that, although they start with real bones (bovine
in this case), they are put through a chemical process that turns them into
"synthetic bone ash". I'm not a chemist and don't understand how they can
convert real bones to synthetic ash, but does anyone know what the chemical
process is and whether or not the end product is the material we call "real
bone ash"? Has anyone done a comparison with these two ashes?
