Hi all.....
It looks like I'm going to be driving down to Santa Rosa, CA, right
after Labor Day, and would like to contact any potters in the area. I'll
be looking to find someone to loan me the use of their couch on the
nights of Sept. 7th. 8th, & 9th (as a pottery teacher and ceramics tech,
I don't have a lot of disposable income!) & hope to have time to visit
galleries and studios. Any suggestions on "must-sees" are very welcome!
Oh, yeah: Will trade throwing lessons for a shower in the morning!

Thanks! Pat Colyar, in gorgeous Gold Bar, WA

Hi Pat,

I'm way south of Santa Rosa and can't offer housing but if you have the time, may I suggest a side trip to Sacramento to see the James Lovera retrospective show at the Crocker? It's only a little out of your way to go into Sacto on I5 rather than take I505 straight south. BTW, especially on weekends, avoid rte 121 between Novato and Vallejo. I spent a hour+ on that short road returning from your part of the world a few weekends ago. See this map: http://tinyurl.com/lw4dn

Crocker exhibit:

It's on view until Oct. 9th or so.

Cheers, Linda Ferzoco
