Hi I hurt my lower back and legs (Bursitis-hips and tendonitis in right
foot) on the pottery wheel( had been given the wrong type of orthotics so
legs were sore) about 7 months ago. Had MRI and xray and blood work-other
then then bursitis and tendonitis and mild arthritis (which they say is
normal)they found nothing. I weigh 110 and am 5' 4" eat very healthyvitamins
etc. so those aren't an issue.I have tried physical therapy 3
months-OWW-made it worse and have tried regular Chiropractor with massage
somewhat helped but then ended up making it really bad and I was reduced to
barely taking baby steps to get around and extremely sore. Went there for 3
times a week for 7 weeks had to quit couldn't take it anymore.Riding in the
car no matter what I use gets very sore quick- Sleeping is awful bought a
latex bed but not having relief. I heard about a type of Chiropractic that
does very gentle adjustments called Network Spinal adjustments. I went to
watch a workshop and then tried it -it seemed to help but I am nervous after
my last experiences and wonder if anyone else has tried this type of
chiropractic adjustment?-Thank you for any information-Marilu

Hi Marilu
Have you thought about trying acupuncture? Okay yes I am an acupuncturist as well as a potter but I have seen REMARKABLE results with the kind of pain you are having. No adjusting going on, needles and some electric stimulation and maybe a nice massage to finish the treatment. Just another venue you might consider.

Just wanted to share a recent discovery of mine that you might try, if you haven't already.
I have a brent c wheel with the foot pedal. Used to throw with the pedal setting on the floor.
After about 30 minutes my knee and ankle and hip were killing me. Had to get up and move around.
At a recent workshop I attended, I sat at a wheel where the foot pedal was elevated which can be done by cinderblocks or bags of clay, sand, etc. Unbelieveable the difference it made...no sore ankle, knee nor hip and I know I sat at the wheel at least an hour or more at the time. Needless to say, I am a believer in cinderblocks or any kind of raised elevation for the foot pedal.
HOpe this is some kind of help.
Beth back in mud and lovin' it! :)

Go to a LazyBoy store and sit in all of their recliners until you find
the one that fits your body. Bring it home and sleep in it at night when
your back and legs hurt. Doing this ended my years long relationship
with my chiropracter. Now we're just friends. I don't work for LazyBoy,
but I do believe it's the best recliner on the market. Other just will
not adjust in the proper variety to change back and leg positions
independent of each other.
